With the "mini" heat wave we got today, came along a new issue with my 08' Blackline JTDm... woohoo!
Got to my car after work, was parked in the sun all afternoon. I pressed the unlock button on the key, the car beeped (alarm disarming), heard the lock click (unlock sound same as normal) and then it quickly clicked again to lock itself a second or so later. Alarm did not arm itself again (no sound).
Tried a few more times locking and unlocking the door with the same result, I managed to open the driver's door by pulling the handle in between the car unlocking and locking itself again.
Car started fine, but as soon as I close the door, it locks itself again. I could see the indicator light of the central locking button on the centre console illuminate. When I push it, the car unlocks and then locks itself again a second or so later.
Noticed the temperature reading at 26 degrees c in the car. Kept pushing the central locking button at regular intervals on my 1 hour journey home. The temperature started dropping and at 18.5 degrees it unlocked and stayed unlocked!
Thought this might be heat related?? Too hot maybe?
Been searching the forum and it looks like most of the central locking issues is cold related so was hoping if anyone has suffered anything similar and/or have any advice?
Thanks in advance.
