OK here goes again...
I have multiecuscan + usb leads to my laptop. (from Buy_me_from_Dan on ebay, works great!)
I've had the car about a month, it was littered with errors when i first plugged into it, most of which must have been left over from a coil pack fail 2 weeks ago (replaced for a tenner!)
I seem to have cleared most of these errors (Lambda sensor, coil, i forget the rest) by cleaning the lambda sensor connector blocks, which were full of what i would assume is grease!?? - loads of it!
Anyhow, i'm now left with a recurring error that comes back after about 10 minutes of driving after i clear the ecu - the codes are :P0120, P1122 and P1121 - invalid signal - fatal.
The car goes into limp mode (25% throttle?) until i turn the ignition off and restart the car.
Then the car drives fine again (very well in fact- no stutters, no rattles or knocks, starts first time) but the light stays on until i clear the errors again.
...Now my question is - I know from reading a lot of other threads on here (thanks btw, bloody marvellous stuff!) there is a common issue with connector blocks causing this problem, is it possible by some freak of the universal laws that i have actually got a dodgy throttle potentiometer?
If i were to give the connector block a good seeing to, which one is it?
I have an image bellow that relates to another question - as far as my elearn manual can tell me, the photo is of my 'variable valve timing'? (the thing with 2 wires going into the top of it... mmm technical) - question is: what is it, am i supposed to be able to turn it and is it bad that it seems to be leaking oil?
..sorry thats about 12 questions, but any help will be appreciated.
