So the deed is done, I now own my first Alfa 156 1.9 JTDm.
Full Dealer history with a recent belt and pump change.
70000 on the girl.
55 Plate and she looks good.
Anyway, whilst bringing the car home last night I came across a few little niggles.
Clutch was slipping a little when I booted it, between 2100rpm and 2600 it slips.
I found it difficult once warmed up to accelerate passed 70 / 75, very very to pick up speed.
A strong vibration through the gear stick also and when the gearbox got warmer, selecting 3rd from 2nd became a task which usualy ended up with me selecting 1st in error. Gearbox feeling stiff when warm. But in the cold selecting gears is a doddle and it slips in and out very well.
I shall be keeping my eye on it, it could be that she hasnt been driven properly for some time and needs a few days too loosen up.
Either way I love the car, little tiny rattles from the plastics but lets be honest, I have an Alfa WHO CARES
Such a great motorway cruiser.
Just need to fathom out the hands free. I pressed and held both buttons but I could faintly hear an italian woman, when I did connect it up nobody could hear me speaking
