Well, I fitted pro Kit springs and bilstein b8 dampers.. i also replaced all suspension components (Wishbones etc) and i have to say, its perfect.. I love the car - the way it handles, feels.. .everything...
There was a small problem after fitting them, that was rectified by the mechanic (he didnt fit the springs properly). But after a few days, the dampers settled in and I cant speak highly enough of the setup..
As for causing more problems? I, and all of those I know who've done the same haven't experienced any problems at all, at least for the prokit/bilstein kit anyway.
Its probably the most common mod there is on the 156 and it really improves the car, it looks good too..
However, I'll say this - one persons 'awesome' is another persons 'rubbish' try and find a member who has the setup you're considering and go for a ride in their car and see/feel for yourself before you take the plunge.
