I dropped front down pipe off, it's only 3 nuts that hold it on and that dropped enough so I had plenty of room to get to everything . They are copper nuts though, mine stripped on the outside so I got off with a set of them broken nut remover sockets and replaced with a copper washer and a stainless nut so it shouldn't happen again. From what I remember you had to bring gearbox up hill to get it out but you can sort of work it out. Took me about an hour or two or jiggling to get it out. But remember exactly how you get it out as you'll find it a lot easier to put back in. Remove air box aswell as it creates a little more room when you refit it. I managed without it will be easier with one but can do without, would say around 25kg, I did use a trolley jack just to square it up and hold it in place when I came to putting bolts back in.
