gearbox oil change

Im going to be giving my car a oil change this weekend since its done 6k since the last one.
I was thinking of doing the gearbox oil too as there is record of one being done. Is there anything special I should worry about for the gearbox oil?

Hi, just use a good quality in the correct grade that is listed for it..

And remember to make sure you can get the filler plug out and the new oil in before draining the old out..

On the jtd you dont actually have a filler plug, you fill via the dip stick hole that is on top of the diff hidden right at the back of the engine compartment.

I just did one on my 2003 156 1.9 JTD SW with 248000 km.
I did one already around 120000 although it is not specified in the maintenance but as I keep my cars up to the last km...
As Jon156 says just use modern gear oil.
I used "Ardeca" synthetic formula ... for what it says and specs are 75w90, API-GL 3/4/5 or MIL -L-2105 D
I took the opportunity of a clutch change, used the drain hole to empty it and the hole where the level jauge fits in to fill it. I needed 1 liter
