Front GT Indicator not working

Hi Guys,

My front left indicator had some condensation in it, and before i had time to remove it, the indicator stopped working.

When i did remove the unit, the bulb holder was quite corroded but the bulb looked OK and a replacement bulb didn't work either.

All other indicators working OK - but still getting the "fast clicking" that indicates a bulb is out.

Any ideas? The bulb holder appears to be removable, so would that be best bet, or would there be a relay somewhere?

Advice appreciated!

Hi, I can`t give you a specific answer but I`ve got an 06 reg. GT with all the service history etc. and while I was looking through the receipts the other day, I noticed the previous owner had both front indicators replaced. Don`t know why but maybe same fault as yours.

The corrosion is probably preventing electrical connection to the bulb...
If you can clean the corrosion off the contacts, you will probably get the indicator to work

you can get one from a breakers for about 15 or so I did when mine got water in it .I think as the car gets older the rubber seals where you fit the bulb, connection into let water passed them if you grease everthing up when you put it back it will solve problem
