I have recently been doing a lot of work on my 156 on the weekends, I have now replaced all 4 wishbones at the front, both drop links, and a number of other things that I spotted (and in a few cases I damaged) along the way.
I have however found that one of the nuts has cross threaded on the upper suspension mounting point (Reassembling suspension in the dark is a bad idea!)
I am talking about the 4 nuts under the bonnet above the shock, the stud thats damaged is one of the two that comes through from the shock, and not on the aluminium casting that the wishbone bolts to.
Having had a look about it would seem its not part of the shock, but a plate that bolts to the top. Anyone know what this plate with the 2 studs on is called, or where I can buy one (other than a "stealer"). ePer
seems to think these two studs don't exist!
The only idea I have so far is that it is only sold with the previously mentioned alu casting
The photo here
seems to show it in situ.
I know it comes apart as when i changed the wishbone I dropped the shock and this part down. Can it be bought seperately? What is it called?
Thanks in advance
