Lightning trouble. Can Bus module?
I have a 2000 Alfa 156 2.5 V6 and since a couple of month it started acting funny about the lights.
All started when a front position lamp burned. H6W bulbs are hard to find here (Chile) so I ordered by ebay a pair of led position lamps (I guess they were 3W or something like that)
Then I changed the bulbs but a Highway beam bulb stoped operating. I changed the lamps and check the fuse but everything was fine. It just didn't light up. After that a rear position lamp was burned. I changed the lamp but stayed like that. Break light is fine but position lights up for a few minutes and then turnes off.
I asked my mechanic and he said I screwed up the electrical system with the led bulbs and the can bus chassis module (the box in the passenger feet) is now failing, and I have to replace it and recode it. Seems quite a lot for just a couple of bulbs thought.
So... that's why I'm here asking if anyone has ever encountered the same problem and how to solve it.
By the way, I replaced again the led bulbs with normal halogen H6W but the problem remains.
Thanks in advance for your help.
