156 V6 front suspension creak
Just bought a 2001 156 V6 with 40000 miles on the clock and I'm loving it :-) A couple of problems though....
On the test drive I noticed a creak coming from the front right hand side. The dealer said this was the upper wishbone suspension bushes. These were replaced (new wishbones) on both sides and on the second test drive prior to buying I didn't notice anything. However, I noticed it again last night while going along a bumpy road slowly. Not as frequent as on the first test drive but still there... From other threads here I notice that the anti-roll bar can cause similar sounds if worn. Any easy way to check that out? How much to replace? I would like to at least sound like I know what I'm talking about when I complain to the dealer :-)
The other thing is that I only got one key and wan't to get another one cut. Spoke to the local Alfa Main garage and they quoted £180 for a new key (including 1 hour labour) Is there any cheaper options or is this the only way? The car was originally sold in Germany so I have the code card if this makes any difference.
