What's this then?

Hi guys, recently exchanged our 180K 156 2.4 20V sportwagon for a nice shiny red 147 Q2 and whilst installing a new Alpine stereo i removed the rubber coin holder and found this underneath.

Can only think that its a sensor for airbag system, don't think its for alarm as transmitter/receiver is in roof console, or part of blue & me as old head unit didn't have it.

DO NOT PLAY WITH THAT - LEAVE IT ALONE AND DO NOT SEARCH THE FORUM FOR FURTHER DETAILS. it's a system that Alfa fit to keep tabs on you, try to remove it and there is a device that will, well....do nasty things to your botty when you go out for a drive next. BEWARE.

Either what he said
Or some models have actual buttons down there (sport and maybe ASR although that may only be on the GT), had the same thing in my console when I removed it but the wires didn't actually connect to anything was just an empty box.

Does it have Bose ? Because GTs have a mic, that supposedly helps with sound, around those parts, that is not used, because it didnt work right, yet they still left it in

It says TRW on it which as you say, is normally associated with the airbags and I'm assuming that's why you think it is something to do with them.

I dunno what it is but now I want to check my 147 and see if I have it. If not I'll be jeallous !!!
