White smoke, but only sometimes, AR147 1.6TS 120HP
I have one question regarding white smoke on my AR147.
It happens sometimes that white smoke is coming out of my exausth. It is there when I start the engine and doesn't go off when engine heats to 90C.
The smoke is not thick, but it's still there and visible.
But sometimes (yesterday and today) there was no white smoke at all (even it was quite cold outside this morning - only 3C).
What I've done already:
-checked oil cap - no sign of mayo or white stuff.
-car is not burning oil,
-it might have burned some coolant, I'm not sure (probably has but it is still way above MIN)
-the car has decent performance
-no overall problems.
THE ONLY possible thing could be the Lambda sonda (the 3rd one, at the end of exausth). I had an MCSF error but it went away. Now it is back. I've checked with diagnostics and it says Lambda is faulty - Lambda is giving constant value of 0,4V. Is that ok? Is 3rd Lambda suppose to give such constant value all the times? If it does, why is it even there? :-)
I will change the sonda and hope that is not the head gasket that is damaged.
What do you think?
