Alfa 156 2L twinspark struggling to accelerate
I have an alfa 156 2l twin with a new cambelt and due an oil change (doing it next weekend).
It sometimes really struggles to accelerate past 3000 revs, occasionally bunny hopping when I put my foot down. This happens in the bottom 3 gears. Gets there in the end though, but from statioanary it really struggles. Sometimes sticks around 2000 revs. This is occuring from cold and also when properly warmed up.
Have driven with the air filter in, and also out for a short distance as I wondered if it was blocked but seems fine. Revs absolutely fine in neutral, getting up to full revs without missing beat. Have taken it for an 'italian tune up' but made difference.
I've had the plugs out and they seem fine - no misfire, no soot or oil or anything to suggest fuel or spark issue.
I've put both 95 and 97 RON petrol in it, again no difference.
have a bottle of REDEX coming to clean through the injectors, but doubt this will make a difference but will try it anyway.
starts absolutley fine, no smoke, just when I'm in gear and moving off is ok up to a point then will struggle to get past 30 for a bit, though will occasionally pick up and rev fine.
not sure what the nought to 60 should be in it, but for me at the moment its about 30 secs.
sensor related perhaps?
