I have experience with both.
I had an AHM one fitted to my remapped GT. My local Alfa specialist fitted the clutch and scratched his head when i gave it to him, saying he couldn't see how it was any different to the standard one.
The clutch started slipping again 15k miles later. The car was not driven particularly hard.
In my Spider when I had it remapped the clutch died almost immediately so I fitted a CG Motorsport one. Was still going strong 15k later when I sold the car. Had one clutch problem where it wouldn't engage properly, but turned out be master cylinder. Can't speak for longevity as didn't have the car that long.
