Engine light and turbo failure on my 156 after an oil change
So today I went to a few garages to try to get my oil/filter changed on my 156 2.4tjd 150. As everywhere was busy, I decided I would do this myself, I thought it might be fun... To cut to the point I ended up filling the new oil 10W40 semi, without fist reattaching the sump 'nut' so I lost the nice oil on my drive. Then drove back to haldfords (about 2mile round trip with about 1l of oil that was not on the tarmac) and decided to upgrade to 5w30 fully synthetic (Castrol) so I filled with 4l (I know its not the recommended oil).
After this, I run the car and I hear some metallic noise when revving, car felt fine though. So After couple trips to town, I decided to run it in and go on the motorway. I started loosing power, and then I lost the turbo and engine light came on. On the positive the metallic noise seems much less.
I have since tried to reset the ECU, but the engine light is still on.
I knew I should have left the oil as it was running fine, but its been over 10k since last oil so I thought I give it a go.
Any help, I am really confused... Can it be the oil? its quite thin but, not why turbo and engine light. Alfa has done 130k now without any problems...
Many thanks for any help,
