147 selespeed service

Alfa 147 selspeed.
I have just gone past the 12500 miles and am in need of a service. I have spoken to the garage who cant fit me in for some time, but am about to go on holiday next week to france with the car.

What checks should i carry out before i go and should i try and change filters (oil, air etc) before i go or wait till i come back.

I have got the lovely Alfa CD but not sure it applies to the selespeed. Is there a manual i can get for the selespeed.

Re: 147 selespeed service

I'd change the oil minimum as temps in France can be high (very high in south at the moment!), plus that should be changed at 12K anyway.

No real difficulty here ... straight forward canister type of filter. You might need a filter wrench. Air filter should be OK for another 6000miles. If you have an undertray that will need to be removed to get to the filter.

Check usual liquids: coolent (not plain tap water!), steering rack, brake fluid and selespeed fluid levels. You might want to change the pollen filter (under front lower screen surround).
