First experience working on the 156

I've only recently got myself a 156 and today I managed to get a ramp free at work, when I wasn't working, where I could get it in, do a service and clean up the starter due to it not fully disengaging on start up.

Started with the basic job, the service. Apart from the sump plug rounding off a fair amount and the Alfa garage round the corner being a pain in the a*** about supplying me a new sump plug, it went ok and finally it's supping on 10W60 like I feel it should (it's been on 10w40 with the previous owner).

Then to the starter, spotted in easy reach apart from the small exhaust section. I'll just get this out the way and the..... SNAP!!!

The first exhaust bolt sheared off and ended up in me wasting a fair time drilling the bugger out. Unfortunately it left me no time to get the starter off to clean so it'll have to wait until next week. I had many problems when I owned a couple of Capris the other year and was hoping not to return to the suffering I have already experienced.

I'm hoping this is just unlucky and my work in the future will go in my favour.

Please tell me so...
