I was pretty shocked when I saw how few miles I'd done. I can't imagine how much cost per mile is as I pay top tax band too. I was abroad for a lot of last year and didn't do much mountainbiking which is a big part of the reason I bought the GT so I could head off to Wales a lot with the bike in the back. There's been lots of journeys to my Mum's which would usually be done in the GT, but I've had to have stuff on the roof so no choice but to take the 156. Also it's a bit easier driveway wise just to jump in the 156 if I'm popping to the local shops.
I must say with all the recent downers I've had with the 156 suspension, I keep thinking I should trade the GT for a 3.2 159 SW and keep the 156 as a spare second car. Of course this would be the sensible option but you don't have a V6 Busso if sensible/frugal motoring is your priority. Also I bleeding love getting in the GT and the fact I don't use it everyday makes it really special when I do get in it. I just wish I was the sort of person that'd be happy paying a £300 monthly car loan, I'd lose the 156 and get a really good 159. MInd you I've been spending near enough that on the 156 per month lately, i reckon my spend is £3K since mid November including new tyres and detailing
Unfortunately I'm in China when the meat/run is on otherwise I'd be there and I'm usually away when Alfa day/Goodwood/Brooklands/Gaydon are on.
My thinking at the minute is if I can suffer the 156 until the new Guilia has been out a couple of months, hopefully lots of people will be trading their 159's in and values will drop. Have I gone off topic?
