Sort-of a 147 8v JTD?
Acquired a Multipla 115 JTD ELX yesterday, as you do, 'cos it was cheap, and driving it back from Doncaster was interesting....
Gear selection very stiff and did most of the trip using 1st, 3rd and 5th, although did sometimes get 4th, second virtually impossible to engage. It looks like a similar issue to the 147s (not surprising as you'd expect them to be the same), with a seized bush in the linkage on top of the box, tho with the 147s that tends to affect side-to-side movement. Any thoughts from anyone?
It was also gutless - flat out on the flat at 60, laid down and died when it saw a hill - about 40 in 3rd coming up from Brighouse.......Tried unplugging the MAF - no difference.....I'm guessing from past experience of diesel turbos a small vac pipe off somewhere, but any clues...? Again I assume its similar mechanically to an 8v 147 JTD.
Once these issues sorted (and once I can sort out how to turn the Traffic Announcements off on the Stereo, it should be a decent vehicle for what it is......
