Airbag light - 2006 Alfa 147
I took my new (to me) 147 for an mot today. It passed with one advisory. The airbag light was on but until 20 March it is only an advisory. The error message from the Bosch diagnostic tool, they didn't have a Fiat one, was ignition circuit side airbag - passenger side front resistance too high. The garage suggested it was a faulty airbag and it would have to be removed to inspect the bag or the wiring.
Does anyone have experience of this error and is removing the airbag likely to be the solution?
I know that Alfas sometimes have a problem with the airbag because of connections under the seat.
Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the solution?
I have a year to sort this issue but I'd like to do it sooner if it's not going to be too expensive.
