A bit of help please
New to this forum stuff so forgive any mistakes made.
I'm in the market to buy an Alfa and need a bit of advice. I cover 24,000 miles a year and looking to buy a 147 JTD, JTDm with about 60,000 on the clock or I may be able to stretch to a 159 1.9 JTDm with about 80,000 on the clock.I favour the 159 Iand aim to keep the car for at least 3 years.
My question is this viable as I will be covering 72,000 miles in 3 years, will the cars be good for that sort of miles? and is there any costs or things I need to look out for when looking at a car to buy?
Just to give you a bit of history I have owned 2 33s in the past. First I bought with 33,000 on the clock and kept it 6 years then sold with 119,000. It had countless brake pads, to gear linkage pins sheared, and a small electrical fire in the speedo. The other I bought when living in New Zealand and had it a year, unfortunatly it was old tired and in the end its bum rusted away due to a badly fitted rear spoiler, but I loved it.
