I had driven my 156 for a few miles now and the steering is doing my head in, firstly I have changed both upper and lower wishbones, anti roll bar has been sorted with new poly bushes and it has been tracked up, tyres are correct pressure, fresh power steering fluid. One of the things that bugs is there is NO steering centralization, you go round a corner and the wheel just stays where it is, it makes no attempt to return to the middle, I will probably get used to this but it also suffers horrendous bump steer, my local roads are not the smoothest, the car is always searching and pulling the wheel from my hand, hit a bump and rather than soaking that bump up, the steering wheel will turn quite sharpish, I am now having to use both hands on the wheel bcause I cannot trust it, I have never driven anything that is so 'alive' on the steering wheel, peolpe must think im drunk with the car finding 'new' lines.
The only other thing is I know the front shockers are way past there best - read original.
Is this normal?? It better not be!!
