Desperate. Need ABS MODULE UNIT - 0 273 004 483 for my 156
You may have seen another thread of mine which I fear may have just confused or not registered with any of you who may be in a position to offer som assistance so I am going to have another go here.
I got my original information Regarding the BOSCH P/N for my ABS UNIT from BOSCH's own manual rather than from my actual unit itself. And, having now worked out where to look and have therefore found my P/N, while the one states in the the manual by BOSCH does apparently share a connection with my actual BOSCH P/N, they are very different regardless.
So, in the hope of catching new eyes I try again. I do apologise for the new thread though, just the title of my previous one now seems reduadant enough to be counter productive.
Anyway, sitting proudly on my ABS UNIT is the P/N
0 273 004 483
Also, from what I am reading I believe the after market Unit (if there is such a thing) would just replace the beginning 0 with a 1, and so would read
1 273 004 483
while still being perfect for the job. This is a large assumption of mine though, please do correct me if I am wrong?
SO, if anyone has the related ABS UNIT and might be willing to part with it I would be delighted to make it worth your while as much as you see fit?
The prices here In Oz are on rather expensive and, just as disconcerting for me, they are also wildly unpredictable.
I have had quotes for the UNIT from upwards of $600 down to $275, the lower price including a three month warrantee even and with it stated the Unit having only seen use through 36,000kms (This latter one I cannot get my head round at all. Very cheap in comparison while also including a short warrantee in the price, but also with the salesman able to put a number on the amount of kms it has seen? How confident can a wrecker possibly be with a figure like that, or one at all? I can't, so the necassary confidence in the salesman is simply not there unfortunately. 1999-2000 part, cheap refurb, warrantee, has been on a car that only ran 36,000 kms??? Sounds too good to be true....and when it does.....well, as they say.)
On top of the above there is interstate shipping which can be as costly as to ship from the UK at times (often taking longer as well believe it or not!). Then there is fitting costs and it is all becoming a very7 costly risk for me.
I'd rather be able to trust in what I am doing and in the few weeks being on these boards, its very clear that everyone is here for the love of our Alfas and you all seem happy to help and advise where possible. Thats more than good enough for me.
So, if anyone can help in any way at all that would be fantastic.
If not necassarily with the UNIT itself but you have some pearly info that'll help along the way, that would also be very much appreciated too.
Thanks again all....
