Selespeed and Acceleration Issue...
firstly, when I now put my foot down hard in 2nd or 3rd, particularly on downhills, I get the surge but overall the acceleration curve is a bit jerky and not a smooth speed up, like it's hesitating slightly in places along the rev band. Not a major issue, but wondered if it was an obvious fix?
I've also been having many SS issues, numbers flashing (mainly 1 & 2), some changes not working (i.e lost 4 down to 3, but 5 mins later after restart works again). Sometimes when started, when going into 1, it would start changing randomly all over the place 1-3-2-3-1-2-1-3 quickly etc. Most of the time I turn off, wait a minute, turn on and it's all OK. Then it will drive for a day or a week perfectly before starting this whole routine again. Maybe I'll be stuck in 2, nothing else works, sometimes I'll have to skip from 3 to 5 as 4 isn't working, other times 1 will be flashing constantly but the car still drives off, then 2 flashes etc etc. Usually solved by a stop, turn off, restart, sometimes aided with a bit of gear changing with key on MAR.
SO, having had enough, I got a bit motivated, and I've just adjusted my clutch rod length from 29.2 down to 28.2, bled clutch and run an EOL calibration and clutch 3000 rev thing, plus pulled apart and put contact cleaner on the main loom and SS Relay & batt terminals etc. Not sure if this is now related to the new acceleration issue, but gearchangewise so far so good, although it's only day 1, and I'm not yet convinced this will cure my SS woes...
Love to hear any thoughts on any of this....!!
