Sick 156

Hi All,

Got my 156 JTS booked in for a cambelt change at Autolusso this coming Saturday, but over the last few days she has started making a knocking or rattling nosie from the engine. This is most noticable when revving to 2500 - 3000 ish revs.

I have just been looking at this with a mechanic friend and by disconnecting the spark plugs in turn we have established that the problem is with no 4 cylinder. My mate thinks it is most likely a big end issue, as the noise stops when this plug is disconnected. So it looks I am in for some major engine work, or a full rebuild.

I have had the car for three and a half years and have always checked the oil regularly and have never let it run low. I always use Selenia Racing 10w60 oil.

I will be giving Ned at Autolusso a call in the morning to decide the best way forward, and even if the car will be OK to drive to them (its about 50 miles).

Not a happy bunny!!!
