156 won't rev above 3000rpm
I've recently replaced the crank sensor on my 156 (which is a PITA to get at from above).
Upon finishing this, I started her up and the battery was flat. Got the battery charged and tried again. All looked good at first. I let her idle til the temp was at the point where it used to cut out but it didn't this time so I gave her a few revs to check.
At this point I noticed the engine light was lit up and that the rev counter would not go past 3000. If I continue to try and get it above this number it will eventually drop to around 1000 revs and stay at that no matter if my foot is flat to the floor on the accelerator.
I thought it might be the MAF, so I have tried it with it disconnected but the problem still happens. The only thing I can think of now is that the crank sensor didn't install correctly or possibly something happened with the throttle body when I removed it.
