3 in the morning and it's going down
So . On another thread I was telling about my adventures with my TS 156. It's been a quiet few weeks, everything is going nicely, new leather interior is fitted, I have 2.3kOhm resistors ready to bypass the airbag sensor for the missing bags, etc etc.
This morning at three a godawful noise started up. I hit the alarm clock but it wasn't that. Hit the wife, it wasn't her. Swore at the neighbours...but it didn't stop.
Got up, got dressed, opened the front door. LOUD noise. Bloody neighbours, their car alarm's going off. I go to glare at them and as I pass it I notice the 156 may be the source of the noise. Uh oh.
Open the door, noise stops. Reach over and pop the bonnet. Pull the battery lead off. Back to bed.
Got up, went for a bit of a look. Opened bonnet, reconnected battery, all ok. Sat in drivers seat and as my weight settled in the horn gave a bleep. Hmm. Looks like stuck horn switch. What is the car trying to tell me?
I checked the oil, that was exactly half way between the dots.
Went to work. Now I'm sitting here hoping it doesn't spontaneously decide to do it at passing traffic while parked. I drove here cringing every time I passed pedestrians in case it went off again. I have a car with the Alfa equivalent of Tourettes...
