156 rear light/indicator issues
I recently tried to use my 2.4 jtd 156 as a boat - didn't end well.
Managed to get the her going again with some new glow plugs and thorough drying out - though she's a bit smokey on start up now.
Since then the expected electrical gremlins have started. The alarm has a mind of its own and more worryingly the rear lights and indicators have decided to go on the blink. All fuses and bulbs are fine.
Having read about the "rev counter" issue I took it out today and gave it a highly technical "smack" this seemed to do something as I've now got 1 out of 2 rear lights working along with all the tow bar electrics but not the numberplate lights.
Stranger are the indicators, RH side functions correctly. LH side flashes fast and only the rear bulb illuminates along with the blown bulb light on the dash . If you blip the alarm the LH side repeater and front flash at the correct speed, the rear doesn't light up. Faulty relay/hazard switch maybe?
Any ideas appreciated.
