My V6 isn't idling right, stuttering between 500 to 1000 rpm when at a standstill or in neutral.
It also often stalls when it is being parked, as I change into reverse gear. (much to the mirth of onlookers!)
Just been looking back through the history and I can see she has had:
- New lamda sensor in 2007 - 20k miles ago
- New NGK platinum spark plugs in 2010 - 8k miles ago
- New Air Mass Meter in 2010 - 8k miles ago
Since I have had the car I have had the thermostat replaced, the Air Mass Meter and air intake housing cleaned out and the throttle body butterfly valve cleaned out, yet the problem remains.
About the only thing remaining I can think of is to try replacing the crankshaft sensor. What do you reckon guys? If so, is this the part I need:
Any idea what sort of fitting time to expect at my local garage?
