Alfa 147 1.6 Ti won't start up
I'm new in this forum and I need your help if possible.
I own a 147 1.6 Ti 2008 and I was abroad (UK) for more than a year. Before I go abroad I left my car at the garage, I unplugged the battery and the level of gas was very low (Lets say it had half litre of gas). After about 15 months I came back and I tried to start-up the engine but the battery was weak so I used cables to connect the battery with another car. The ignition worked fine with the support of the other car but the engine didn't start up. I tried many times for about 3 days but nothing happened. I visited a technician (I cannot move the car by pushing it because it is located in a closed limited garage) and he told me that it is either the immobilizer that is de-synchronized due to the long period without the battery connected, or the fuel pump which has stacked. I red somewhere that there is a switch under passenger's seat for the fuel pump but I couldn't spot it. Also I am not sure If I can hear the pump when I turn on the dash lights.
