going back to my original message about the clutch plate centre ripped out at 7k miles,i just googled fake valeo clutches and guess what? it seems they are out there, never was very happy with it, and the new one i had fitted last week is beautiful,car has never felt so smooth. have to wait and see what valeo man makes of it.

No, if a car uses a solid flywheel then it will usually have a sprung friction plate. If it has a dual mass flywheel then they do without the springs as they're not needed and a solid friction plate is used. Problems start when you change a dual mass flywheel for a solid one and keep the original unsprung clutch, there's nothing then to absorb any of the vibrations. Our JTD solid flywheel kit comes with a sprung clutch like most other aftermarket solid flywheel kits for other diesels.
