Sad Sad Time
I never imagining this day would come.
During the snow period some fool went into the back of my 156 1.8. Mounting my towbar thus making the two cars one. Long story short I have been subject to the harsh world of insurance companies. Claiming for the damage they wrote my car of as a class C !
I am now in the process of getting it back on the road attempting to use as little of the settlement fee as possible (1400 inc the car) Although to make matters worst it failed its MOT on brakes, front brake imbalance ! nothing to do with the accident.
Essentially now i am really forced to get a new car quickly as spending money on the alfa will not be financially understanding.
I am now regrettably looking at diesels focus, a3 etc ... about to start work with a commute so good mpg is necessary.
Hopfully the 156 will get thourgh the MOT with what the garage has quoted to sort the MOT fail. Inwhich will give me more breathing space to source another car. But at some point thE alfa will have to go.
I have got the value for the car from the insurance company, but when i have to shift it i would rather see if anyone would like it on here ? rather than giving it too webuyanycar or the local srap man for 400 quid.
IT is a class c but this really is down to a small scratch on the bumper and bent electrica on the tow bar.
I would persoanlly keep it, but sensiably - money saving side of me says its time to let go.
FAILING that i may break it .... any ideas to help me would be great.
Sad sad times ....
