need advice on overheating problems 1.6ts

1.6ts facelift exterior,their is cold air inside the car when on hot!! but teperture is getting very high above 100,fans are kicking in was wondering would heater matrix if blocked cause overheading on tick over,as i recently changed head gasket and termostat same results,but water is a lot cleaner now,

Did you torque up the head correctly in the correct order?
Sounds like its still kettling.

Take the rocker cover off and re-tighten the head.
(This should be done anyway once run back in).

Also hope you had the head skimmed as you will get more leaks through the gasket otherwise.

Also while you had the head stripped did you ensure that the rest of the ancillaries like cambelt and water pump are in good condition?

The Twinnies use a self bleeding cooling system so do not really need to be bleed.
