Madness Engine light after bodyshop

Howdy folks!
My very first post.

Neighbour ran into the drivers side door of my GT thursday night.
Went into the bodyshop Mon morning. Collected today and engine management is on!

Anyone else had issues like this?

Repair work carried out was done on the door. Door stripped, mirror/handle off, etc.
Damage repaired and painted. Bit miffed??

Bizaar ... when my alfa had a bump the airbag light came on and it ended up being a loose connection. Only thing you can do is speak to the garage ... have you driven it ... any faults felt ... body shops are dusty places ... maybe excess dust ... im not sure .... only way to be sure is get it plugged in to get the fault code.

I have a code reader if you are near Clydebank ... ...if GT is driving normally as before may be a electrical short caused when door was stripped.... don't worry too much about MCSF comes on if you sneeze hard......

i think the door card has to be stripped again and assembled properly, connecting switches for windows and the electric window control unit.
All of this should be done from start to finish with the ignition off, DO NOT TURN THE IGNITION ON WHILE STRIPPING AND ASSEMBLING THE DOOR CARD

hope this helps

They probably didn't disconnect the battery and it got drained. My last garage drained my battery and after a charge I got all kinds of codes, a reset fixed it all.

Take it back to the body shop and get them to do the job they were paid for. Sounds like a CANBUS problem, do search for more info on here.
