1.9JTD GT - Rear Parking Sensor Issue

Hi All,

Had my GT for a year and the rear parking sensor doesn't work properly, everytime i stick it in reverse the sensor just makes a long beep noise until i take it out of reverse. It's not affected my parking but I'd love to resolve this annoying issue - has anyone else had this problem? Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

This can be a few things. Normally it's because one of them has been pushed in A bit too far or because the sensor is broken. To determine which one get somebody to stick it in reverse and touch each one. They should pulse. The one which doesn't pulse is the problem, go from there

Cheers, one of the jobs I keep meaning to do. Mine has done the same as the OP's since I bought it 16 months ago.
I actually find reversing in the GT horrendous.

Mines has just stopped working properly, I had a very quick look and none of them seem to pulse or vibrate when tapped. I have just recieved a new supposedly genuine valeo sensor off ebay. It was 27 and looks to be a good part. I plan to take the bumper off and swap them one at a time for the new one.
They have worked spot on for seven years and I kind of miss them. I can't do it for several days so you may have sorted yours by then,if not I will post my results, maybe of some help.
