1.9 16v Diseasal - rough idle for a few seconds
Over the last couple of months, my 147 has had a slightly rough idle for a few seconds when starting from cold. It only lasts a few seconds and then clears. It sounds like it is choking (overfueling) and the plume of smoke kinda backs this up.
However the car performs every other time. No smoke under load, no loss of power, revs cleanly from idle to redline, not using oil or water, averages over 50mpg on my 140 mile a day run. Air filter is a K&N panel and clean, gets an oil change every 10K miles ( nearly 4 a year !!!)
I'm thinking the engine coolant sensor may be at fault giving a higher reading than it should and increasing the fueling when cold. It could well be reading near fine at running temp.
Any ideas ?
It's the 150bhp 1.9 16v in a 2006 Ti.
