revs rise, then fall before rising again
Odd one, I noticed a drop in revs in 6th gear when acclerating, before a revs rise going along the motorway. Literally goes up a few 100, down a few 100, then rises as the engine pick up speed.
Initially, I thought, slipping clutch, but drop it into 3rd and boot it or accelerate away mid range or from lights in 2nd/3rd, I dont get any slip, its literally JUST in 6th.
Scenario - tootling along at 70-80, in 6th, revs under 2k... i decide to not change down to 5th but speed up in 6th, the revs rise by a few 100rpm, then drop a bit, then rise as normal
The same doesnt happen in any other gear, just when 6th i guess is on 'choking point' as 2k is quite low.
If im doing *cough* more than 80, on a track of course, the revs being 3k+, theres no rise or fall of revs, just acceleration as normal, its literally just under 2k, the revs rise and fall then rise.
what could it be? a cough from the confused ecu or a build up of fuel? reminds me the fuel filter does need changing..
clutch was only done about 20k ago.
