I want to do something about my brakes. Having read all the brake pad recommendations, and needing new front pads and disks shortly, have a fair idea of what to get.
Whilst brake performance is fairly decent anyway, I'm keen on a brembo upgrade (305mm). I can buy and refurb the calipers easy enough.
I've heard that these will fit under some 16" wheels, without spacers. Whilst I'm happy to do this, I want to try and preserve the following.
Wheel size. Owing to comfort, and 4 fairly recent tyres
Handling or track whilst it would look better for the wheels to be a bit more flush with the arches, if I have to use spacers, then I don't want it to impact on the handling too much.
I have the 16" sport or "selespeed" wheel pictured below.
Is it possible to fit the 305mm brakes under these.
Before anyone points out, yep, I have a 1.6, and it's purely for aesthetic reasons, as they look much cooler.
Also, anyone got a decent cad drawing or measurements for caliper mounting plates?
