abs fault

hi i am looking to see if anyone has had a fault like this.just before coming to a complete halt the brake pedal starts kicking back like the abs is kicking in...there is no abs light on or any error codes showing and i have thoroughly inspected the braking system including abs..totally stuck with this one and need some help....HELP..

sounds like a dodgy wheel speed sensor but i'm surprised it's not kicking some error codes....

Only thing I can think of off-hand is a slightly warped disc causing the brake to grab and lock once the speed has dropped, thereby triggering the ABS. As its not a fault with the ABS as such, it wouldn't trigger any codes.
