156 2.0 TS low idle problem when cold
Hey guys, I'm a new owner of a 156 2.0 TS 5-speed manual, and I've noticed there's a slight problem idling when cold. It bounces between 1,500 and 500 rpm, and seems close to stalling.
I'm pretty nifty at fixing cars, but diagnostics have never been my thing. Also, I've never owned a car newer than 1985, and all have been carby with next to no electrics. So I really have no experience with them.
I have the opportunity to purchase a very cheap OBD2 reader and codes book. Would this be worth having for issues like this?
Or does someone even know the cause of the problem so that I don't have to start throwing cash in a few different directions?
