147 1.6 TS

Beep beep .. Beep!

hi all, had my 1.6ts 147 since september, got most of the problems fixed now, apart from the dreaded beep! every time you hit roughly 25mph the dash flashes + makes a beep and its really starting to drive me up the wall now. does anyone have any idea how i would go about solving this? already cleaned the two sensors/connectors under each front seat, any ideas would be tremendously appreciated! cheers

I maybe on the wrong track here but does yours have the speed limit function ? I haven't tried mine (can't really see the point) yet but there was a similar system on the Range Rover I had before. I accidentally set it to 20mph once while messing about with the trip computer...every time I hit twenty it would beep like mad and I thought I had a crazy computer problem....till I read the dash message. Anyway just a thought. On my 2.0 TS you can access the beeping (several functions) from the computer and you may be able to switch off the sound...which would be a bit less annoying while you seek the cause.

Agreed sound like the speed limiter, you can turn it off in the menus check your user manual for details on how to turn it off
