I recently put a Facet on mine an it's fine, climbs to 90 dgrees on the temp gauge and stays there.
Strangely the temerature only seems to rise if the engine is at or above 2K rpm. I could drive for a mile or so, temp at 70 degrees say, sit there on tickover and the temp will not rise. When I first fitted it I let it tickover on the drive for a good 5 minutes while checking for leaks, temp gauge didn't budge. Thought I'd bought a dud till I took it out on the open road.
Very odd behaviour, can't say whether this is normal behaviour. I've nothing to compare it to as in the 4 years I've owned the car the temp gauge never got above 80 and I'm not in the habit of leaving it ticking over on the drive.
All the best
Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
