Story so far....... 156 2.4jtd 2001 130k worked spot on until 3 days ago , it started on the frosty morning - went to school n back , parked up , came back 25 mins later and the fecker wouldnt start . RAC man came out and identified crank sensor - new one duly bought and fitted - still wont start! OBD says the pre heater relay is faulty, however when ignition is on it clicks and outputs 12v to each of the glow plugs - glow plugs removed and tested - no glow in em! So they were replaced - still wont start!
The obd kit says its reading engine rpm correctly, water and air temp are correct, fuel pressure target is being reached when cranked.
Fuel is coming into the hi pressure pump and reaching the injectors. But it dont work!
The key code light goes out and I've tried the second key , still nowt.
In my very humble and non Alfa specific opinion it's as though the injectors are not opening - it will splutter with 'easy start ' but will not catch or fire.
I've tried all I can think of ( other than can sensor) but a petrol can and matches are becoming very tempting!
Any help would be really appreciated thanks
