Hi... If you're looking for peace of mind, then try a set of these: Bridgestone UNITED KINGDOM
There is no need to have a set of winter tyres, then a set of summer tyres.
This is an all in one solution, that is ideal for a daily driver for the entire years weather.
Just fitted them to the family Panzer-Wagon, after an almost near horrific experience on Sunday with the Primacy HP's (the tortoise reared its head
I had them fitted first thing this morning and the transformation is Epic - up until now, I was always a bit "yeah, yeah - whatever" about winter tyres, purely on their cost and the hassle of two sets.
Just a shame I fitted Dunlop Fast Reponse back in December on the 156 (a great tyre in the wet) and also better than the Primacy's in the snow, but these were a quality find for family safety.
Also, check out this little demonstration:
Bridgestone All Weather A001 vs Budget summer tyres - YouTube
This is on a wet pan - so imagine how bad summer tyres are in current conditions!
When I came back home, they just ate up the snow - no spin, slip, slide, no traction control kicking in and I did a little emergency stop (when safe) on a snow compacted stretch (so like a white sheet) at 25mph and it was properly planted and stopped on a dime.
Yesterday, I was ****ting my pants driving back home - with the kids in tears when the back end stepped out and that was at 20 mph.
These A001's are the answer
Sorry forgot add cost:
£77.00 a corner fitted for 205/55/16/V at Formula One Auto Centre's
I also got a 4-wheel Hunter alignment done and upgraded the balancing.
