GT Vs 147?

Hi guys, need a little help. I own a 05 GT JTD and have had it bumped into and have a feeling it may get written off.

if this is the case i was thinking of getting the 147 JTD 150bhp. Does anyone have any ideas whether it will be a poorer car or very similar?

i have had a fair few problems with my GT and wondered if the 147 has a slightly better rep?

cheers guys.

Pretty much the same car. One is a hatch back and one is a coupe. The 147 had a face lift which I am not sure the GT ever got. There are other little differences but it just comes down to what you prefer.

I would agree, same platform and most of the parts are the same too. All I would say is that with the GT having the same engine as the 147 if you're looking at the 150bhp JTD then the 147 will feel a bit nippier as it's lighter and almost a second quicker to 60, also a bit more economical.

the 147 2.0l is a great nippy car, having lots of fun with it.

IIRC the GT is not the same platform as 147 its the same as a 156 also its slightly longer than a sportwagon

Having looked at 147's and GT's when buying mine I'd go for the GT everytime

But all in all their both going to suffer similar problems

I own a 147 2.0 ts and bought a GT 3.2 recently. The interior is pretty much identical but the 147 but the 146/gt/156 ll share components and therefore as said from above it will have similar problems. Since you own a GT at lease you know what to look for like cam belt, oil levels, sqeaking noise etc.

I guess it boils down to what you need are. Are you looking for a 3 door or a 5 door 147? The booth is smaller on a 147 but you can collapse the rear seats like on a GT. Its a tricky one but lucky for me I have the best of both world. GT is my weekend toy and the 147 is for my daily run around.

Past *Alfa 159 2.4Ti SW *Alfa 159 1.9Ti SW *Alfa 147 JTD 16V *Alfa 147 2.0L 5 Door Lusso Vinyl Wrap Gloss White Zender 147 *Alfa 147 1.6L 3 Door Turismo
