Selespeed hesitation and dead - heading for breakers?
Hoping some insight, expertise and advice can come from the forum on this one:
Car is a 2003 147 2.0 Selespeed.
Notice hesitation in first gear and this seemed to be increasing.
This morning she hesitates then stops dead in traffic, restarts straight away.
Warning comes up engine oil low pressure, then Selespeed failure and complete shutdown.
All other electrics fine. Oil level is fine.
Car won't start so has to be towed home on flatbed as she's stuck in first gear.
Immediate thoughts were to do the following:
Check selespeed oil level (appears fine)
Check and replace pump relay
Give selespeed pump and little knock
Then in order to limit costs:
Replace pump, actuator and finally accumulator?
Any advice or suggestions appreciated.
