Hi, I.ve recently bought a 156 TS -00 to use as daily driver. Its a low mileage car but as always with cheap Alfas it was time for cambelt change. The engine was also leaking oil, it was realy dripping on all sides of the engine....
Today with all parts home that was needed to change the belts and all oilseals on "beltside" I opened the lid and got started. Now with the seals replaced and yes I´ve replaced the rockergasket too
it was time for a test start to check for leaks. All is dry at the "beltside" but on the gearboxside its a major leak between the cylinderhead and engineblock, the oil is coming from a point around five centimeters in to the head from rear. Is there oilchannels on the "shortside" that may leak? I have tried to look at pictures of Headgaskets but I cant see any holes in them for oil. The amount of oil leaking is around 1dl/minute so at this moment the car is a non runner
Will a new headgasket help in this case?
