first i would like to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
I have a (hope) small issue with my door key barrel. Since my remote is kaput (will fix next year with 2 new keys with remote ...) i open my doors with my key. It is pretty cold here, so i did a prevention with spraying some Silicone spray around the door handle mechanism and rubber around the door.
I noticed that my door (especially drivers) when i try to unlock with my key, when turning clockwise or anticlockwise, it has some resistance, but eventually it unlock them.
So, my Q is did the lubrication with silicone messed up something, what seems to be the problem, what to use if i want to lubricate (WD-40, contact spray ..)?
Thanks for your time, and all the best
p.s. i forgot to write, i did not have any issue with this during warmer days.
