I did this on my Honda Civic, downloaded from ECU, emailed to Celtic Tuning, they tinkered with it, emailed it back the same day, relieved me of £150 and I uploaded the new map and the smiles began.
Very easy but I do know the maps that Celtic use are coded to the ECU, they are not interchangeable if thats what you're getting at, or were you referring to renting the cable out ? (I used an ebay copy for my Civic which worked fine but it was a bit of a risk and it doesn't read my Alfa ECU so I sold it. Strangely my VAGCom cable will read my Alfa ECU with FiatECU, so I'm good for reading codes but can't download the map with VAGCom cable).
In terms of saving a few quid doing it yourself I'd definitely do it again, its simple, but I've read these Bosch ECU's aren't that easy to flash DIY so not sure if its a goer or not.
