I got a set of the H7R today from Londoncolour and fitted them out of situ to check they work, they do.
I just wondered where you Guys had ended up drilling for the grommet?. I assume my screw off rear cover is the same as everyone else's in that it's got a passage/slot through it which has a piece of grey plastic in it. MAybe this is for cabling if Xenons were factory fitted? I'm not sure whether to drill straight thru the cover or whether to go thru the rear of the light housing itself (probably at the top). obviously I'd have to try and vacuum any plastic drillings out of the light.
I'm not sure why people have had a problem threading wires thru the bulb brackets, do you not put the bulb in first, put the clips on THEN fit the wires on to the bulbs spades?. Was there a problem because the wires were fitted to the bulb spades before fixing the spring clips on?
Here's my back cover, shame i can't just put the wires up the cavity, I'd have to cut the wires and rejoin.
I din't get a ballast fixing kit, are heavy duty double sided sticky pads okay or is it self tappers?
